我亲爱的宝贝：
       十年前，妈妈满怀着喜悦和期待，等待着你的降临。所有的母亲在那一刻都会有各种美好的期盼，希望腹中的孩子长大后如何如何地优秀，但是当你在护士阿姨手中舞动着手脚哇哇啼哭时，当你在摇篮中使劲啃咬着自己的小拳头时，妈妈的心温暖地只剩下一个念头，那就是希望我亲爱的宝贝能够平安喜乐、无风无浪地快乐生活着。

       今天妈妈想跟你说的是，在你人生旅途中朋友的意义和重要性。妈妈非常羡慕你和你朋友之间那份纯真的友情，没有世故没有圆滑，没有各种利益得失。妈妈真诚地希望你们能永远保有这样一份纯真的感情，不要让这种感情有任何质变。我亲爱的孩子，妈妈只想告诉你，待人以真才能得人以诚。
还记得《绿野仙踪》吗？里面出现的托托、稻草人、锡皮人还有那个胆小却不失可爱的狮子都隐喻着你的人生中会出现各种类型的朋友，有些朋友会是你人生道路上的指路灯，时刻为你指点出正确的轨迹，或许也会有这样一些朋友，他们并非有心却在无意中将你引入歧途。所以我亲爱的孩子，你要懂得选择。

       妈妈很高兴在你小的时候读了这本书给你听，因为妈妈从你身上看到了多萝西的善良与感恩，看到了你乐于帮助他人的爱心，看到了你对于身边的朋友、老师、父母和外公外婆无限的关爱。当你用稚嫩的手为病中的妈妈捧上一杯热水，当你用柔嫩的拳头为外公捶背，当你扬着天真快乐的笑脸帮外婆洗衣……宝贝，这一刻我真想对你说：你是上天赐予我的最大幸福！但是，妈妈却又不得不对你说，我亲爱的宝贝，当你有向善之心时，请让你自己变得更加强大，因为只有你自己强大了，你才能帮助更多你想帮助的人。

I Went Back to My Home town.
我回老家了。

A：Did you go to any where in the winter
holiday.
寒假期间你去什么地方了吗？
B：Yes. I went back to my home town with
my father.
我跟我爸回老家了。
A：Was it the first time you had been there?
是第一次回去吗？
B：No. I was brought up there and didn't
leave there until I was six.
不是，我是在家乡长大的，直到六岁才
离开。
A：Did you find your home town changed?
你发现你的家乡有变化吗？
B：It changed a lot. There were many new
houses everywhere and I could hardly tell
where was where.
变化大了，到处都是新盖的房子，简直
搞不清楚哪是哪了。
